Kié Lee, born 1992 in Basel, Switzerland, is the founder and creative director of Kié Einzelgänger.
Early Life
Kié spent her formative years split between Switzerland and South Korea. She moved to New York for her Bachelor's degree in fashion design at Parsons School of Design. She stayed in New York for eight years and earned herself a BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts). At the age of 23 she launched her first business, Ageless Einzelgänger LLC (2016-2019) in New York. [1]
Career
During Kié's year as the owner of Ageless Einzelgänger, she set out to create fully fledged ready-to-wear collections to be presented in Paris. During this period she made frequent trips to Japan in order to establish key partnerships with fabric suppliers who supported her by allowing her to order small batches of fabrics.
After several seasons of presenting her collections in both New York and Paris, Kié decided to move back to Europe and rebrand to Kié Einzelgänger (current). Kié earned herself a Master's degree in Visual Arts from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts. She has developed a close partnership with the brand Yohji Yamamoto, a partnership that began in July 2022.
Kié herself participated in the print project of Yohji Yamamoto Pour Homme AW24-25 collection in Paris.[1]

Collections
Kié has created five collections for her brand, Kié Einzelgänger. Kié also engaged in a partnership with Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto, to create Wildside Yohji Yamamoto. There have been four volumes of Wildside Yohji Yamamoto to date. [1]
