Built on Mediawiki's open-source software, The Fashion Codex is a global, non-profit initiative to build a free and community-sourced encyclopaedia for fashion scholarship. Each article is open to peer-review to encourage intellectual integrity and substantive scholarly value to all users. We welcome contributions that increase the overall quality of global fashion knowledge, especially original research into lost and rare fashion media, rich documentation of fashion history as well as critical analyses of fashion as sociocultural phenomenon and multidisciplinary art.
