Rick Owens (Richard Saturnito Owens, born November 18, 1961) is an American fashion designer. Basic information should include birthplace, current work, and other relevant biographical context.

Career
1990s
After Finishing school, Owens began his fashion career in Los Angeles as a pattern cutter, producing illicit copies of designer clothing, which provided him with hands-on experience in garment construction.[1]
Rick Owens Launched his namesake fashion label in 1994.[2] His first collections were sold exclusively at Charles Gallay, a Los Angeles boutique known for stocking avant.garde fashion labels.
2000s
In 2001, Owens sought international recognition and together with Eo Bocci Associati agreed to a distribution deal. Becuase of this deal, Owens had to relocate his production to Italy, where it remains to this day.[1]
